Jerri Shirley is a new, up-and-coming author local to Berkeley County, West Virginia. The older of two children, she was born in Silver Spring and raised in Wheaton, Maryland until the age of 13 when her parents decided to move the family from the Montgomery County suburbs to a 40-acre farm in Hedgesville, West Virginia.

A year after graduating from school, Jerri married an active duty Marine and enjoyed the opportunity to travel abroad before settling temporarily in Hawaii. The Shirley’s returned to West Virginia in 1989.

Mrs. Shirley has worked in many arenas, to include pumping gas, cashier, salvage yard bookkeeper and receptionist, green house attendant, veterinary technician, biological lab technician (at the National Institutes of Health), Information Technology Helpdesk Technician and Network Engineer.

Jerri is also a former breeder of Siamese and Oriental Shorthair cats and spent several years showing in the CFA (Cat Fanciers Association).

She enjoys living with her husband, daughter, 4 cats and 2 dogs in in Hedgesville, WV and is currently revising her second book.
